Here's a little story about a vest. One day, while searching for the perfect "Happy Birthday to Me Dress" I stumbled upon this vest.  I had no NO business giving it a second glance, my assignment was clear:  find a birthday dress!  However, I found this great vest at Annie Sez.  It was on sale for $13.  I couldn't pass it up for that price.  Sadly, it sat in my closet for nearly a year.  It's pleather, vegan leather, faux leather?  Whatever term you prefer, it's cute and comfy!

I am back from a holiday hiatus from blogging. I feel like I have been eating and cooking for weeks! 
Here are some pictures from the nature walk we took the kids on after breakfast on Sunday. Philadelphia has lots of great parks and trails. I was fortunate enough to get a few good pictures from the Forbidden Trail in Fairmount Park.  A perfect end to a wonderful weekend.  I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving.  Besos, Lynn



Ruffles Anyone?

I wore this on Tuesday, see I have on my Tuesday work booties, which are my weekend booties as well.  They are more comfortable than any sneaker I have ever owned.  I am doing the Turkey day count down, how about you?  I have been in and out of the grocery store more times than I can count.  Before work, I even stopped at Walmart for last minute items. 
I am really looking forward to hosting my family for Turkey day.  Family, Food, and Football.  Pass the Cranberry sauce, please!

1. I love reality TV!  Yes, even the Kardashian's.
2. I am a closet foodie and prefer  to eat dessert  then have dinner.
3. In the winter I will only sleep under flannel sheets.
4. My son is the only reason I pretend to be a responsible adult.
5. My rediscovery of baking has made me very popular with my family.
6. I am obsessed with Tiffany & Co. Silver jewelery.
7. I (also) hate changing my handbag, way too time consuming.

                          

I did not return the camera and I am still attempting to read the instructions.  I am pretty much winging it, trial and a lot of errors.  Please be patient.  After all, my photographer is only 11 years old.

GAME ON!

This is a super quick post, super quick!  Sorry about the picture quality and lack of a real smile!  I had to hurry up and pose before Mr. P changed his mind about playing photographer. 
On Friday the Mr. and I attended a Philadelphia 76ers vs. the Milwaukee Bucks game, yes basketball not hockey.  I digress, we attended the game and had a great time and terrific seats.  The home team won, yeaaa Philadelphia 76ers.  I love the excitement of sporting events more than the sport, does that make sense?  I love to people watch and the great half time entertainment, am I the only one?  Anywho, we had a blast.  We forgot to eat and ended up going home for waffles.  Another fun date night had by all.



I loved this great statue in the lobby of the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.  Anyone notice the little boy who jumped into the shot?  See him behind the goalie mask.  He was too cute so I didn't mind.



Me and Mr. P shhhhh.  He does not know he is on my post today.  I took the pic while we where waiting for the 2nd half to start.  Sorry for the blur.  Love the yellow sweater Mr. P is wearing.  He needs a blog, he is very snazzy and has a bigger closet than me.  Again, shhhhhh don't tell him.  He never reads my blog, I think!
