AT LAST, curlBOX IS MINE

I really feel like singing At Last, by Etta James!  I have been trying to get my hands on this item for months now.  Finally, I can expect to receive a curlBOX in 5-7 business days.  Wait, did I start this story in the middle, YESSSSS!!!  Sorry ladies, let me explain.  OK<  My name is Lynn and I am a product junkie, OK,  I said it.  I don't want help, I just want my very own curlBOX.  and thanks to diligence, patience and quick fingers I will soon have one.  I have been purchasing all kinds of hair products that promise to define my curl pattern, moisturize my hair, and do the impossible.  I always have high hopes for products and sometimes they deliver and other times, well you get the picture.  In my pursuit to find the perfect line of products I stumbled upon curlBOX.  This will (hopefully)end my relentless search.  See, every month curlBOX will send you a few sought after products to try.  This will hopefully save me from overspending on products in my local beauty supply store (I hope)  Ladies if you are a product junkie, check out this website and I will let you know what goodies I receive in my August curlBOX!

Anybody recognize my dress?  It's from H&M off course!  I found it on the sale rack, SCORE!  
 This dress is super cute on and works well for a girls night out.  I must confess, at the end of the night,  it took me almost 30 minutes to get this dang dress off!  I actually thought about sleeping in it.  As usual I purchased a too small dress.  I do this often,smh.  I actually broke out into a sweat trying to remove this dress.  I think I expanded in the summer heat making it almost impossible to get my a*# out of this dress at 2am.  I did rip it slightly under the arm while trying to remove it.  Have you ladies had a similar experience?  OK, just me, really REALLY?

MY NEW BOO

So here is my new boo!  It only took me 2 months to decide which bag to get.  Here she is.   OK, this is the back story regarding the bag.  A week before my Birthday.  Mr P took me to Nordstrom to look for a bag for my special day.  I thought I wanted the Tory Burch nylon and patent tote.  However, when, I got to the store I changed my mind.  I  thought if felt a little, well cheap (poor quality).  Then, I kinda considered getting the Longchamp bag for about 2 seconds.  Nope again, so to his delight, my indecisive nature won.  I ended up leaving the store with nothing, insert sad (indecisive) face here.  So, fast forward to last Saturday.  Yet another trip through Nordstrom's handbag section,  and guess who spotted this lovely?  Nope, not me.  Mr. P spotted this bag!!!  Today, is the first day I carried "her" and I must say I think I love "her, " for now anyway....

PAINT, PARTY FOR ONE

Just in case you have been wondering what I have been up to!  I have been hard at work, painting.  It is not my favorite thing to do and I'm not particularly good at it.  However, I hate waiting for someone else to do things for me( aheem, Mr. P if your reading this, I am talking about you!)  So, any who I think I mentioned that I moved and have decided to do some interior decorating.  Since, my new obsession with all things DIY I decided to tackle the laundry room.  Frankly, I figured if I messed it up, who would know?  

My son/photographer is the one narrating this video.  I think he's funny but what do I know, he's my kid!  

A few after photos for you, sorry for the poor picture quality. Just in case, the poor picture quality wan't disturbing enough, how about ALL the junk and laundry on the floor???  (YIKES) I have a few more things to do like a clothes pin sunburst mirror, some wall cabinets and last but not least some artwork.  Yesss, every laundry room needs some fancy artwork.  Stay tuned.....

What Dress Code?

Well, now you tell me?  After 5 or has it been 6 years, now you want to enforce the dress code?  I feel like someone just sucked the air out of the room.  OK, its not that bad.  Let me explain, apparently someone has decided that it is not safe or proper even to wear open toed shoes at work!  Really?  I have heard some rumblings about enforcing the  NO OPEN TOE SHOE POLICY!  So, I thought I should at least find a comfortable (and cute) shoe without toe cleavage!  My heart aches.  ALL, of my summer shoes have at least a peep toe if not full toe exposure!  UGH! Well, this has given me an excuse to hunt for shoes.  Alas, I found these lovely Mary Jane inspired beauties.  I even read the "shoe review"  to see if they would be comfy, YUP.  The $30 price tag really helped me make my FINAL decision.  So, what do you think? Cute enough to accompany casual (summer) work attire???  I ordered them from PiperLime, they are still available in a few colors, check em out!
