The Eagle Has Landed, and It's On Sale!

I am  normally NOT an American Eagle shopper.  However, recently I was directed to the website by a fellow blogger, In Dramatic Fashion.  I went to the site looking for a faux leopard coat (so cute).  I stumbled upon all of these other great deals, on sale, even better. 

Ladies, please help me with something.  What makes a jegging, a jegging?  I feel like people are calling everything jeggings now.  I am confused by this new term after looking at the first item listed below.  Corduroy jeggings?  Sounds cool, but these just look like skinny leg cords to me.  Jeggings should have an elastic waist band?  Help?  I am a fan of elastic waist bands, don't judge me!  I still have a lil belly from when my  11 year old son was born.  I said, no judging.  OK, back to my dilemma.  What do you consider jeggings, jeans+ leggings=jeggings?

THESE BOOTS WERE MADE FOR WALKIN

This outfit was a total bargain.  It is a mix of a few thrifted finds and clearance sale items.  Gotta love the thrift store.  However, my favorite item of them all has to be the boots.  These Nine West boots were priced at $39.99 at my local Marshall's.  Problem, the one pair in my size had several customer inflicted scratches on them, don't you hate when that happens.  It's like people aren't sure if a shoe is leather so they scratch it to make sure?  Who does that?  Anyway, thank you to whomever did it this time, because the lovely sales manager was kind enough to deduct a whopping $5 bucks from the price.  Every little bit counts ladies.  I actually didn't mind the scratches, it kinda makes them look distressed, kinda.  Anywho, I polished them, buffed them with a little mink oil and TADA, they are as good as new!!!!!!!!!

OK, about this bag.  I paid $6 for it on my recent thrifting expedition.  It is made by Latico?  I didn't know who the heck that was, still don't.  So while in the thrift store, we googled it.  iPhone to the rescue, and discovered that this bag retails for, wait for it, $200?  Wow, really?  It's leather and has the nicest floral lining (reminds of a Betsey Johnson bag).  However, I have found the bag on eBay much, much cheaper than $200, but not cheaper than $6, so it is still a bargain find.  I promise to take better pics of the bag, it's such a great color and has a nice crinkled leather, my new favorite, for now!

I love this belt, it is thrifted and borrowed from my sister.  It is actually pony hair, not sure if you can tell from the picture!

Changed my shoes, just to switch it up. I also borrowed these shoes from my sister.  OK don't tell her I borrowed her:  belt, necklace, and shoes.  It can be our little secret.  I hope she is not reading this. 

  What do you think?  With or without the jacket?  I usually wear a jacket or cardigan at work because it is so cold in my office.  No, really I think they still have the air on.

THELMA CALLED, SHE SAID SHE WANTS HER SKIRT BACK!

I am really about to tell my age, but I have to do it.  I recently purchased this skirt for $2 at my favorite thrift store.  That's not the age telling part, this is.  When I laid eyes on it, I had to have it because it reminded me of the 70's sitcom:  you guessed it, GOOD TIMES.  Yes, you heard me correctly GOOD TIMES.  Remember, Thelma,Florida, Jay-Jay, Bookman?  OK, yes I am really giving you a blast from the past with this one.  This whole outfit, especially the skirt is my tribute to, you guessed it again, Thelma Evans.  Those of you who are too young to remember the show can catch them in reruns or on YouTube.  Yes, I still watch, don't judge me!  I hope you find this outfit to be DYNO-MITE!  Sorry, I had to do it. (that happens to be one of the more memorable lines from the show.)

I AM A SUCKER FOR SEQUINS

Anywho, I just discovered the  JCrew Factory Store online.  And, as soon as I discover the technique to print money in my basement just kidding I will purchase all of the items I found.  Sequins can be worn as a casual or formal addition to an outfit.  I am going to experiment with Sequins with business attire, I will post something soon.  Hopefully, the glare from the sequins won't interfere with productivity!
